Last week I got a surprise in the mail; a postcard of a piece by David Choe from one of my sendsomething pals. I can't tell you how happy it made me to open my mailbox and see something so vibrantly, beautifully chaotic and so my kind of thing. And this from a stranger. We don't know each other from Adam. I adore the act of sending something, anything, to anyone. God knows I don't do it often but as a receiver it has enormousness meaning and impact. What will we do if the US post office goes under? The times they are a (constantly) changing people. And nostalgia has such power as they do. Anyway. David Choe. Muralist, fine and graffiti artist...vibrant (as I said) as all hell.
