Between Bears [Eran Hilleli]

I love animation. I particularly love animation that doesn't resemble Disney and employs unique techniques like watercolor, stop motion or cut paper...

This beautiful piece from Eran Hilleli; his graduation project fromTel Aviv's Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, is very much the embodiment of that unique object of animation and so much more. There's a strong sense of the otherworldly paralleled with scenes carrying identifiable human emotion within them. It's a beautiful, complex and fully rounded piece of art. I can't get enough of it and feel compelled to share it. It seems like something that shouldn't be missed.

The music touched me as well; it's by Ori Avni, you can find his music here. And for more Eran Hilleli, (like this much lighter hearted piece), you can find him on Vimeo and his web site.
