Sarah Ressler

Sarah Ressler's bird paintings are just out standing --- blending traditional painting techniques with spray paint --- mixing in text, pattern and texture she pulls out a wonderful balance of atmospheric beauty with just a tinge of the Gothic. Gorgeous work!

Wow wow wow, her work is gorgeous. I love the second piece - the soft blue and orange roses, and the unexpected bar code, with the lacey print behind the bird.

The third piece is stunning. The combo of orange and olivey-sage - plus the way the image of the bird's eye repeats in graphic form in the berries.

I absolutely agree…that second piece is my favorite as well, all of her work shines with the unexpected and obviously thoughtful layers she’s put into her compositions…

This reminds me Frank Gonzales works.

Raincloud you are so right...Frank and Sarah have a similar mimes for sure...Sarah’s compositions feel like personal portraiture (often just close up head and shoulders) and Frank's have a lovely post modern 'Audubon illustration' feel, more contemplative pulled back compositional types. Great bodies of work, both of them!
