Yoran Morvant [Pierres Graphiques]

I do so love the intensity and mindfulness of rhythmic line drawing. Here it's done on stones and rocks in such a beautifully organic manner by artist Yoran Morvant.

Take a look at more from this series of Yoran's work (and then peek at the rest of the gorgeously curated work from other artists) at the on-line gallery site Ashes & Milk...

Oh my, these are incredible. They're very calming to look at - not at all dizzying like some intricate patterns can be. It must be so satisfying for the artist, to get to feel the weight and smoothness of the stone as he draws.

Anna, I totally agree...I think I am drawn to these because of the contrast between the applied intricacies of the drawings and the smooth simplicity of the stones real nature.

These rocks are beautiful! I love how organic the designs look too, they compliment the shapes of the rocks. I just read your interview on "artists who blog"...I just started blogging and am finding so much inspiration here on the web that I never knew existed! including your site! I also love your collage landscapes. last year, I taught a class on collage landscapes to my high school art students, I wish I had seen your work to show them! Thanks for sharing it!
