Elemental Alchamy

Elemental Alchemy is the name of one of Luann Ostergaard's lovely textural photos and I think it's actually a great description for the whole body of her work. There are quite a few digital abstract/textural photographers out there, but what I think is special about Luann's work is that it has a point of reference to it. Textiles, Tibetan rug designs, natural fungi, etc. --- thus the work is even stronger as an abstract. Plus she is a wizard at capture of light and use of color!

[all images belong to and by Luann Ostergaard, via her flickr photostream]

She has a lovely web portfolio to peruse, here.
